I was able to go to Baguio for a much needed break. I wanted to try new food places so my rents introduced me to this hole-in-the-wall resto hidden somewhere in the city. =P

I was looking for something new and sweet. I head on over to Parvati @ Trinoma and this is what I bought... I still prefer Mrs. Fields or the soft-baked chocolate chip cookies in white packaging that I buy.

I shall not order the Hainanese chicken again. It's not even worth comparing with other Hainanese chickens i've tasted before.

California Pizza Kitchen

I had no plans of eating here. In fact, my Dad and I both wanted steak. But because most of the restos were full and the resto where I first wanted to eat was still closed, we ended up here. I have nothing against CPK. In fact, I had high praises for it when my friend treated me there. But that was at CPK Greenbelt. Just goes to show that not all outlets are alike. 

We started off with an appetizer. 

Spinach Artichoke Dip - served hot with blue and white corn tortilla chips. Php 525. I asked the waiter if it had any garlic or onions in it cause I'm allergic to it and he said there ain't any. I ate a piece with the dip and I was quite frustrated. It seemed so ordinary and there was an unusual (not in a good way) taste to it. After a couple of minutes, the waiter comes back and tells us that there's some garlic in the spices. WTF! So I let my Dad finish it while I settled with the plain chips.

Mexican Express and Good Burger

One very hungry night, our car-blessed colleague agreed to drive us to dinner. Since we were really really hungry, we decided to go to the nearest food street with good food in our area => Maginhawa Street!

I was craving for burgers while my other colleague was only craving for a light meal. So we ended up at Mexican Express and Good Burger which was right beside each other.

I went back to my old College Campus tambayan a.k.a. Robinson's Manila to meet up with a couple of college buds. Lotsa things have changed since I graduated. New stores, bigger mall (the addition of the Midtown part), and lotsa new restos. Here's one I tried with my buddies:

Potato barbecue - Potato chips

I've been seeing this at the malls and managed to get myself to try one.

I watched as the guy did my order. He got a potato... a big potato... He sticked a barbecue stick on it. Then placed it on his machine and started turning the wheel. The big potato turned round and round and round creating thin spiral potato flesh on the barbecue stick. He then dropped the sticked spiral potato on to the frying pan. Waited. Waited. Waited. Tadaaaa!

Have you tasted it? So tell me, is it a poteyto or a potatow?

Manang's Chicken @mercatocentrale. My all-time fave! ++ We met the owner last year and she was super nice. She even told us a bit of info about Manang's... I hope she finds Manang =)
