I’ve been craving for sashimi for 3wks now so when I got my off duty, I asked my Aunt if we could go for Japanese cuisine.

Seryna Restaurant

We both got Kaisen set which is a combination of sashimi plus soup, salad, rice, and dessert. The resto was filled with Japanese expat diners. I also enjoyed watching the Japanese chef prepare our set.

Choto Shop

We stopped by the Jap grocery store which was filled with awesome treats! I’m glad my aunt was with me coz she was able to control my impulsive purchases.

Hana Restaurant

For snacks we ordered okonomiyaki special which is Japanese pancake with squid, pork, shrimp, nori, and cheese. I also got a grapefruit soda drink which was a perfect match for the okonomiyaki.

Dojo Dairy

And finally we got a small miso sake ice cream to finish our meal.

All in all, it was a good burp day at Little Tokyo and I can’t wait to get back.

Umami fries - It was their bestseller but not a seller to me. It was just fries with nori and powedered flavoring.

I found this salmon a bit overpriced at 600php+ for such a small slice.

Cafe Latte - clearly, the barista does not know how to make coffee art.

Lemon meringue eclair - The only saving grace for the entire meal. I think they should stick with eclairs. :P

Extensive wine list with snazzy wine vending machines. We got a choice of one red wine and one white wine.

I got the white first - I had what everybody had which is the Moscato. It is a sweet white that had me drinking to the single drop even if i don’t really drink at all… Then I got a red one, Pinoir. I finished it, thinking that red wine is good for the health. In terms of taste, I prefer the white one.

Then I also had a taste of my Aunt’s share… she got something and something. haha… I only realized after that I had consumed 3 out of the 4 glasses that we took. By the end of the tour, my head was starting to spin a bit.

Ah well… it’s wine! I could live with it. LOL :))
