Polu Kai Grill

After walking the entire length of BGC and back again, I was glad my friend and I ended up eating here. I love the Tikis and the Hawaiian outfit of the staff. Whilst browsing the menu, I was kinda having doubts on eating here since the prices were kinda steep but when I saw they had ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT shrimp promo, I knew this was THE place!

I was so influential that I got my friend to share the ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT shrimp with me. GREATEST value for money!!!

*The all-you-can-eat-shrimp promo is 299 for one person and if you get it as a pair, your partner would just add 200. =)
The ambiance inside was very homey and peaceful. The only customers there were US and THEM ( a table with 4 foreigners). My friend and I liked the giant aquarium at the back side of the dining area on the wall. I think it was really cool.

So upon entering, the staff would greet you with:

Aloha!

Asian Grilled Chicken Salad - I found the chicken a little bit dry but I still loved it!

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT-SHRIMP (we finished 3 of these and asked for  tartar dip).
This is definitely value for my money and a BIG winner for me. =)

Yogurthy

In my quest to try all the frozen yogurts in the metro, I came across Yogurthy...

Well... truth be told, Yogurthy didn't really come along. In fact, I was looking for it and even asked the Concierge where it was. =P

I read about this new froyo place at the Ayala Malls website. It was a bit funny since I thought the name of the froyo place was "Owlgurty", so when I went on to ask the Concierge where it was, she was skeptic. So I ended up saying:
"Where's the new frozen yogurt store whose name is Owl-thingy?"
The first Concierge Lady didn't know what I was talking about. It was a good thing the other Concierge Lady behind her knew where it was and pointed us to the right direction.
"Thanks Other-Concierge-Lady-behind-the-first-Concierge-Lady!"
So the name of the store is: YOGURTHY. It's near the Owlisms Store. (So that's where I got the owl thingy!)  It's located at the Ground Floor of Market, Market at the new wing (a.k.a. the cooler part of the mall - aircondition is colder in this area than the rest of the mall).

This is where everything happens.

Notes: (Should've been written on a table napkin.)
  • Froyo- Ordinary. Nothin' special. A lil bit on the sweet side. Consistency is not smooth. Like soft-serve ice cream.
  • Strawberry - Fresh. But only one piece.
  • Mango and kiwi - both were sweet! ayLavet!
  • Mochi - Fail. It was my first time to try an ube-colored mochi which was not chewy and not appetizing at all.

Manna Korea Garden

There's a street somewhere in Makati that houses authentic Korean Cuisine...

One would know that it serves authentic because of the Korean Nationals that flock the place...

Since I was with my Aunt and Cousins, I let them choose what to order while I clicked away...

Korean cuisine is not my favorite but because my Mum developed a liking to it, we sorta inherited a lil bit of her inclination (we had no choice since she's the one who cooks our meals =P ). So every now and then, even if I no longer get to taste my mum's korean recipes, I still crave for some korean flavor once in a while.

While I was savoring my authentic food, my sister started clicking away. Here are some of her shots...

that's my hand holding the chopstick! =P
watermelon slices for dessert... i think it's free- not sure though...

all our chopsticks... guess how many we were?

THE END

PS.
I wasn't able to write on their table napkins. Besides, I don't know what i was gonna write, I couldn't understand the menu, it was in Korean.

PPS.
My Uncle paid for our meal... I don't know how much it cost him though. =P
