Little Tokyo @ Makati

I’ve been craving for sashimi for 3wks now so when I got my off duty, I asked my Aunt if we could go for Japanese cuisine.

Seryna Restaurant

We both got Kaisen set which is a combination of sashimi plus soup, salad, rice, and dessert. The resto was filled with Japanese expat diners. I also enjoyed watching the Japanese chef prepare our set.

Choto Shop

We stopped by the Jap grocery store which was filled with awesome treats! I’m glad my aunt was with me coz she was able to control my impulsive purchases.

Hana Restaurant

For snacks we ordered okonomiyaki special which is Japanese pancake with squid, pork, shrimp, nori, and cheese. I also got a grapefruit soda drink which was a perfect match for the okonomiyaki.

Dojo Dairy

And finally we got a small miso sake ice cream to finish our meal.

All in all, it was a good burp day at Little Tokyo and I can’t wait to get back.

While the rest of Manila was raving about Magnum, I contented myself with this.

The white chocolatey goodness almost tasted like Toblerone white chocolate. =) This would suffice for now till I finally get my hands on that Magnum bar! =p

I can't wait for Christmas time once again...

Dad's Ultimate Buffet

My Aunt treated me to Dad's Ultimate Buffet. I've been wanting to eat at Dad's ever since I saw the eat-all-you-can tempura at Saisaki. So when she finally agreed to feed me at Dad's, my ears flapped, and my intestines jumped for joy!

When you have the Ultimate Buffet, you get a complimentary teddy bear.

This is my aunt's teddy a.k.a. "my dinner date"

Plate#1 (From upper left): buffalo wings, chicken fingers, spag, (?), (??), (???), a cut of lechon, apple salad, sushi.

Plate#2: Lengua, ginataang kuhol, krispy kangkong, ginataang pusit, (?), lumpiang ubod.

Plate#4: Brazo de mercedes, creme brullee, ice cream.

DQ's Strawberry Cheescake Blizzard

The weather was hot and humid and I needed a quick fix... On the way home, I spotted my all-time favorite DQ blizzard. Without further ado, I would like to present their flavor of the month!

Gelatone EAYC

One rainy afternoon, my aunt FINALLY agreed to treat me to Gelatone's Eat-all-you-can-Gelato!

Round 1: Hazelnut

Round 2: Four Kinds of Sorbet

Mango - I really like mangoes so I liked this. It was the first one I finished.
Lime - I already tasted this before and I liked it. It's refreshing and a good palate cleanser. I really like the small bits of whatever in it. =)
The Pink-colored sorbet (Turns out it was watermelon) - At first I thought it was strawberry but when I tasted it, it was nowhere near the taste of berry. I really didn't like it and I was wondering how I'll be able to finish it coz it tasted like medicine. So I left it alone and transferred to the next flava...
Lemone - Super sour! I was literally cringing in sourness... It was a good thing I still had some watermelon (which was sweet) thus, I ate them together and was able to finish my serving. =)

Round 3: NO PICTURE - Coz I was too excited to eat my third round of flavors.

I got Mascarpone, Cheesecake and Tiramisu - ALL HEAVENLY!!! =) =) =)

The EAYC was only till 5pm and I wasn't sure if I could still finish another cup... Alas! I should've gone back and gotten four more scoops to make a dozen. =P

So anyway... I truly enjoyed my EAYC Gelato experience and I hope I could have a take at it again... Next time, I hope my fave flava is around coz I could finish a whole gallon of it. =P
